THE POWER OF FEEDBACK:
Through the administration of the Management Effectiveness Profile System (MEPS) participants will compare their self-assessment with the averaged assessments of five individuals he/she selects to provide feedback. This provides valuable information about strengths and weaknesses, and creates a personal readiness for skill building. The SELF-DEVELOPMENT GUIDE discusses the importance of feedback that is either consistent with or different from the manager's self-description. A chapter is devoted to each skill area highlighting definitions, importance, and exercises to begin immediate improvement. An Action Plan and Related Readings assist the supervisor with ongoing development efforts. Additional follow-up support in the form of carefully selected readings, activities, and exercises is available to those managers who wish to continue their development with further guidance from MEPS.MEPS can be combined with a Level I Inventory for an even more in-depth look at behaviors. CONCEPT TRAINING can score the Level I Inventory on computer and generate a series of management profile reports which explore in-depth some of the conflicts inherent in a participant's Self-Concept, and the implications of these conflicts to their management style.
